Kickstarter for Joybubbles: the documentary

11 October 2015

One of the most genuinely interesting things I have ever been part of is getting some renewed attention thanks to filmmaker Rachael Morrison, whose documentary on Joybubbles has started a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds needed to finish the film. If you donate $35 you'll get a reissued copy of my zine, Used To #1, which Dan Goldberg and I published in 1998.

Report from Kompass - day 2

25 August 2014

Friday was the main day of Kompass, which I felt was a modest event, organised around an afternoon un-conference format. What disappointed me was that I wrote the piece not to actually communicate with the culture minister (I’m...

Dear Urve Tiidus,

Congratulations on your appointment as the new Culture Minister of Estonia. I don't know anything about you, and I don't even know what specifically you can do as Culture Minister, but I welcome any potential change in culture policy in Estonia and wish you the best.

My hope in writing this letter is to encourage some discussion about the various forms of culture in...
